I, Dr Amit Bijon Dutta from India, am professionally a civil engineer and a self-taught (amateur) photographer who steals time from work to pursue my passion for photography. People, cultures, wildlife, landscapes, and architecture intrigue me to weave visual stories. Through my works, I try to portray that.
My works have been exhibited in various salons and exhibitions held in over 40 countries. And I won over 100 laurels for them.
for my works, I was awarded about Sixteen distinctions & honorary certificates in photography by National and International Photography federations.
Showcasing my work and sharing what I know motivates to write. A skill that I am developing.
My first book was a coffee table book titled "Mystical Land of Ladakh", which, fortunately, was chosen to be a part of the prestigious Indian Photo Festival - Hyderabad 2019 organized by the National Geographic.
I like to write on technical things too. Especially related to my field of work.
My second book "Understanding Risk Management in Construction Projects" talks about planning risk management on constructions sites and developing an industrial approach to mitigate and minimize the chances of potential risks.
